Whether you need help on groundwork, or are working on FEI skills, Lisa can help you discover the best path for you and your horse

Ask her what the best part of her job/life is? She will tell you the lives she has touched, and that have touched hers. Watching both horse and human become confident and happy and seeing the relationship between the horse and rider transform into a partnership is the most inspiring experience. Many of Lisa’s students have gone on to achieve great success in a variety of arenas. Using dressage principles as a foundation for other disciplines is key to this success. From Reining to Breed shows, in HUS or Western Pleasure, Lisa’s students have a solid foundation to build on.
At Leading Edge, teaching and learning are an interactive process. Lisa encourages students to discuss the concepts they are working on. She believes that understanding is key to both horse and rider, and whether a rider understands the task at hand or not is the most important thing an instructor has to work with. Asking clear questions and discussing what riders do and do not understand creates a possibility for growth beyond the ordinary.
With close to 50 years of experience in all aspects of horsemanship, care, training, biomechanics, and 30+ years of teaching and training professionally, her depth of knowledge is vast. Her strong commitment to personal growth and continuing education keeps that knowledge current and relevant.

All aspects of horsemanship are considered. Respect starts from the moment you are in the same space as a horse. A horse that does not respect from the ground will not be a partner under saddle. It is our aim to educate equestrians as to what the horse needs and wants from you as a leader.

Helping you understanding the way horses learn is as important as position and application of aids. Using exercises to reveal the benefits of a position that has proper bio-mechanics, Lisa can show you how it will positively affect the movement of the horse. This path will teach riders to listen and understand what the horse needs to be the best it can be.
